Day 32-34 | Local Foreshores & Golden Bay

DAY 32 | ROCKINGHAM FORESHORE– Because we missed our New Years Celebration, the next morning I had the brilliant idea to celebrate in time with Ohio’s timezone! We had a lovely lunch at the Steel Tree. We wrote down our greatest aspirations, and renewed resolves we wanted from 2014. We also got a chance to really enjoy the water.

DAY 33 | MANDURAH FORESHORE– My first time to the Mandurah Foreshore today! It is actually the PERFECT setting for weddings! Mandurah made a move towards more vacation rentals a few years ago (according to Isaac’s Mum & Dad), and for that reason, their Foreshore is shaped much different then the Rockingham foreshore. Set up on a wooden dock that encircles the bay, high rise flats compose a good portion of the bay. Among it are shops, eateries, cafes, and sweet shops.

We had gone with Isaac’s Dad & Mum (one of the few days off left on her vacation), so we walked around the bay and took pictures. We saw people fishing (to inspire the squiding trip the next day), and found the perfect place to have lunch. We had this awesome meal at “M” and then the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The Mandurah foreshore is beautiful, and can’t wait to get this 360 pano done so I can really show off its beauty! Great place of culture and (like the rest of Australia) has a huge support of the arts.

Day 34 | GOLDEN BAY– Besides the unsuccessful squiding trip we took in the evening (apparently it has to be light out for a squid to see the squid jig; who knew!), I got the chance to go boogie boarding for the first time with Isaac & Daniel. Lured out by Isaac’s nephew’s teething cries, Isaac told me it was “perfect waves for boogie boarding”. Lets just say that he wasn’t quite accurate. The swell of the waves was so large that even 6’2″ Isaac had to dive under the waves before they crashed on top of his head. I thought I was pretty brave honestly. I’ve got to say that Daniel is pretty wicked at it though. Before we headed back to the Gould Family house, we had lunch and drinks with Daniel, his wife Rhiannon, & Baby Ella, and Steph & little Seton joined us. Honestly, all in all, it was a really lovely day catching up with everyone.
